Hi all, well not much has changed since my last post, although Rebecca is one year older! The weather has stayed kind to us again and after staying in the park all week we decided to go back to Cape Le Grand National Park today, once we found out the park was open. Another plus was the temperature at 31 degrees, so a picnic lunch and swim at Lucky Bay was the goal.
It turned out to be a magic day, swimming and body surfing (or trying too) at Lucky Bay was most enjoyable. I was standing on the wide expanse of the beach, drinking wine and drying off from my swim and it hit me what we were doing! No thoughts about C-19 or lost super or anything else, it was just enjoying the moment, doing what we set out to do, see Australia and have a good time. Hopefully we’ll have more days like today, ahead of us!
After Lucky Bay we drove to Rossiter Bay about 6 K’s of corrugated dirt road from Lucky Bay. In all honesty not a highlight but then again its very hard to beat Lucky Bay and Thistle Cove, Hellfire Beach which we saw 3 weeks ago on our first visit
Then it was onto Cape Le Grand Beach, which is 22 K’s long and we drove all the way to the end at Wylie Bay. That is the longest stretch of beach driving I have done in “RAYNSU”. I didn’t lower my tyre pressures, which I should have done but RAYNSU handled it without any concerns. All in all it was a great day! We feel very fortunate to do this as I know most of you are locked up at home putting up with some miserable weather, bored stiff and unhappy. Therefore I have included a particular photo below, that I’m sure will add a little bit of fun to your day.
Stay safe and healthy everyone!
